Shuttering Carpenter
A Shuttering Carpenter is accountable for constructing, assembling, and disassembling formwork (shuttering) utilized in concrete construction.
Responsibilities :
- Interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.
- Determine formwork dimensions and necessary materials.
- Fabricate, shape, and construct timber, plywood, or metal formwork.
- Install and secure formwork in the appropriate positions.
- Utilize spirit levels, plumb bobs, and measuring tapes to guarantee precision.
- Ensure the formwork is robust enough to support wet concrete.
- Collaborate with steel fixers and masons during concrete pouring.
- Safely remove shuttering without causing damage to the concrete.
- Adhere to site safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and boots.
- Ensure that structures comply with quality and safety standards.
Requirements
