Position Overview :
We are looking for a commercially driven and strategically minded Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the company’s retail operations and drive long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in business development within clothing, textiles, and branded fashion, and a deep understanding of the Omani market. The role includes leading the development of the Uniform Division, enhancing store profitability, and executing growth strategies that align with the Group’s vision.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Leadership :
- Manage daily operations across retail stores, warehousing, logistics, production, and customer service.
- Standardize and optimize operational processes and systems across all units.
- Ensure alignment between operations, merchandising, procurement, and marketing teams.
- Track and enhance performance through clear KPIs and regular reporting.
Business Development & Market Growth :
Drive new business opportunities specifically within clothing, textiles, and uniforms.Lead the development and expansion of the Uniform Division, including B2B partnerships and institutional clients.Explore new product lines, strategic alliances, and revenue channels.Evaluate regional opportunities within Oman and the GCC to support store expansion and brand positioning.Store Performance & Sales Strategy :
Assess and turnaround underperforming retail locations, applying data-driven strategies to improve profitability.Maximize peak season production and sales by optimizing workforce, stock, and infrastructure.Lead initiatives to enhance off-season sales, promotional effectiveness, and customer engagement.Drive in-store experience improvements and retail technology adoption (POS, CRM, loyalty programs).Strategic Planning & Presentation :
Deliver a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan outlining revenue growth, brand development, store expansion, and operational improvement.Prepare a board-level presentation of this 5-year plan as part of the final interview stage.Leadership & Team Building :
Lead, motivate, and manage a cross-functional team across retail operations, HR, logistics, and sales.Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee succession planning, talent development, and recruitment for critical operational roles.Requirements
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail, Fashion Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).Professional exposure to the textile / uniform industry is a strong advantage.Experience :
10+ years of senior leadership experience in the clothing, textiles, or fashion industry, preferably within multi-unit retail operations.Demonstrated success in business development, retail expansion, and strategic planning.Strong experience in P&L ownership, supply chain oversight, and team leadership.Solid understanding of Oman's retail and business environment and the wider GCC market.Key Competencies :
