Our client is seeking an experienced Production Performance Manager to join a major LNG project, managing all aspects of the Production Performance implementation to ensure Business Continuity and plant's optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

Based in Muscat with regular visits to site. the job holder will manage the Production Performance team and will report directly to the Operations Manager.

The Production Performance Manager will be managing the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) which is the local, short-term front line site support for scheduling and execution, first-level trouble shooting, reporting, to allow Site to maximise hands-of administration on tool time. On top he is responsible for the Operations Support & Methods team, in charge of methods, digital roadmap, cost control and procurement.  They will ensure that all resources are in place to minimize operational risks and maximise production.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to : :

  • Lead the team in providing effective technical support for the Marsa LNG Site, ensuring best-in-class performance efficiencies whilst ensuring HSE and Integrity is a core value.
  • Responsible for establishment and improvement of Operations Methods, development and maintenance of Digital tools (Production Data Management System, PI, etc).
  • Acting as Technical Authority for Production Performance Initiatives (Management of Change).
  • Responsible for Operations reporting and follow-up.
  • Ensure rigorous cost control process are applied in the Operations domain (Pre-OPEX and OPEX) and coordinate the preparation of yearly budget exercises.
  • Contributing to achievement of the Project planned production start-up date and strict Project Cost control.
  • Managing the IOC and act as an active leader to support the Site Activities.
  • Support the Integrated Planning and Campaign team for campaigns preparation (Statement of Requirement, budget, planning) & follow-up.
  • Manage operations preparedness activities in his domain ensuring that the progress complies with all requirements and project planning, to budget with the required quality.
  • Lead the Production Performance team recruitment and competency assessments.
  • Replace and act as Operations Manager in his absence.
  • Replace and act as Plant Manager in case of unplanned leave of the Job Holders.

Within the framework of a lean and agile organisation, service holder will have to :

  • In charge of process studies related to start-up and production activities.
  • In charge of production chemistry activities inc. consumption monitoring and optimisation.
  • Plant monitoring in liaison with the site (daily monitoring, action plans, long-term inhibitions and isolations review, etc.).
  • Investigating process operations deficiencies and troubleshooting of process equipment and piping systems.
  • Contributing to the preparation and participate (as required) to all required Workshops / Committee meetings with Authorities, Contractors and JV Stakeholder...
  • Ensure Procurement and Contract activities are executed with a strict application of rules.
  • Develop Operations Company Management System.
  • Ensure timely preparation of the operating manuals and handbooks.
  • Ensure that the required Digital Tools and Applications (TIM, NPDMS, ePermit,...) are integrated into the operations activities to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on the status of his team activities, highlighting any areas of concern.
  • Manage and develop a team consisting of 9 positions : Head of IOC, Process Engineer, Production Performance Engineer, Head of Operations Control & Methods Engineer, OPEX cost controller, Methods Engineer, Digital Lead, Procurement & Contract Senior Engineer, Procurement & Contract Engineer.
  • Required experience :

  • Master’s degree in science / Engineering degree
  • Experience in a similar position
  • 15 years’ experience in Operations of LNG facilities
