The Associate – Corporate Finance Advisory will play a key role in executing corporate finance advisory projects, including mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic financial analysis. This individual will assist senior team members in delivering advisory services, performing financial modeling, and conducting due diligence to meet client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management
- Lead the day‑to‑day execution of corporate finance advisory transactions including equity & debt capital raising, project finance and mergers & acquisitions.
- Day‑to‑day coordinator between the client, other advisors and ahlibank in executing the transactions.
- Ensures that the transactions run on the agreed timelines and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Business Origination
Lead the preparation of the new business proposals, presentation and submission of various tenders.Support the presentation and discussion of the potential mandates with prospective clients (including support in finalizing the fee arrangements).Help identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the bank’s market presence.Support the senior team in meeting and exceeding the division’s P&L targets.Transaction Structuring
Assist in understanding clients’ business needs and objectives for key transactions.Provide analytical support to senior team members for transaction structuring and strategy development.Due Diligence and Financial Analysis
Assist in conducting due diligence, analysing financial statements, and evaluating key transaction factors.Prepare financial analysis and reports to support decision‑making during the transaction process.Documentation
Lead drafting and review of key transaction documents like prospectus, information memoranda, facility documentation, and other relevant documents for client transactions.Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transaction documentation.Transaction Marketing and Placement Support
Lead preparation of presentations, marketing materials, and investor outreach efforts for transactions.Support business development team and the senior team in the placement and marketing of financial products, ensuring alignment with client goals.Client Relationship Development
Contribute to the development and maintenance of client relationships by providing timely support and assisting in addressing client needs.Help identify opportunities to cross‑sell additional bank products and services to existing clients.Liaison with External Advisors and Regulators
Assist in coordinating with banks, regulators (e.g., CBO, FSA, MSX), and external advisors to ensure smooth execution of transactions.Support senior team members in managing external relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Supervision of Analysts
Review the work product prepared by the analysts in the team for accuracy and detail.Guide and support the on‑the‑job training of the analysts.Requirements
