IT Infrastructure Supervisor

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Supervisor at Oman Location for one of the clients which are leading IT services organization.

Job Description :

The IT Infrastructure Supervisor will support the IT Infrastructure Supervisor in the daily management, monitoring, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.

This role involves supervising a team of IT infrastructure technicians, ensuring that IT systems, hardware, and software are running smoothly, and assisting with network, server, storage, and security-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervision : Assist in overseeing the IT Infrastructure team to ensure optimal performance and task completion. Help to prioritize tasks and provide guidance to team members.
• Infrastructure Maintenance : Ensure proper operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, workstations, storage, etc.) through routine inspections and troubleshooting.
• Network Support : Assist with the management, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and other devices that comprise the organization's network architecture.
• Server & Storage Management : Oversee server infrastructure including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Assist with backup management and storage systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Technical Troubleshooting : Provide hands-on support in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across the organization. Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical teams if needed.
• System Monitoring : Assist in monitoring network and system performance, security, and availability. Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
• Documentation & Reporting : Ensure that all infrastructure configurations, changes, and incidents are well-documented. Assist in generating regular reports on system health, downtime, and maintenance activities.
• Security Management : Assist in enforcing IT security policies and practices, including patching systems, ensuring firewall configurations are up to date, and preventing unauthorized access to the infrastructure.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their infrastructure needs and deliver efficient IT solutions.
• Vendor Management : Assist in working with external vendors for the procurement, installation, and support of hardware and software solutions.
• Training & Development : Assist in training and mentoring junior team members, providing opportunities for development and ensuring high team morale.

Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
