Overview :
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores In-Charge to oversee our store operations, including inventory level controls, accounting responsibilities, and team management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, extensive experience in inventory management, and exceptional people skills to lead our store team effectively. This role requires an individual who can ensure optimal stock levels, maintain accurate financial records, and foster a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities : Inventory Management & Control
- Maintain Optimal Inventory Levels : Regularly review inventory data to ensure stock availability meets demand without overstocking.
- Inventory Auditing : Conduct periodic audits of physical inventory against system records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Order Management : Manage the procurement process from requisition to receiving goods, ensuring timely order placement and accuracy of deliveries.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Financial Oversight : Oversee the store's financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking, and cost reduction strategies.Account Reconciliation : Perform regular reconciliations of ledger accounts related to inventory and expenses.Reporting : Prepare accurate monthly reports on inventory status, purchasing trends, costs analysis etc., for senior management review.Team Leadership & Development
Staff Supervision : Directly supervise store staff; assign duties; monitor performance; provide feedback; identify training needs.Conflict Resolution : Address any conflicts within the team promptly while maintaining professionalism at all times.Customer Service & Relations
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained by the team at all times.Compliance & Best Practices
Maintain compliance with legal requirements pertinent to store operations (safety regulations).Implement best practices in stores operation processes for efficiency improvement.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred or equivalent practical experienceProven experience as a Store Manager or similar managerial role with direct involvement in both accounting tasks and inventory controlStrong understanding of accounting principles relevant to retail / store operationsProficient use of MS Office Suite (especially Excel) for data analysis / report generationExperience using ERP systems for managing inventoriesDesired Skills :
