Job description

Job Purpose : To establish, implement, and monitor the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) framework across all Al Hashar Automotive locations in Oman, including vehicle sales showrooms, service workshops, warehouses, vehicle yards and any other company premises. The HSE Supervisor is responsible for designing HSE systems, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting risk assessments, promoting safety culture, and minimizing workplace incidents and hazards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • HSE Policy Development & Implementation : Design and deploy a comprehensive HSE framework across all operational areas. Create site-specific HSE procedures, checklists, and audit protocols.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation : Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments across all branches. Recommend and implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Compliance & Reporting : Ensure compliance with Omani health and safety regulations. Maintain required records and submit periodic reports to government bodies and senior management.
  • Training & Awareness : Design and deliver regular HSE training programs for staff. Conduct drills, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions across all departments.
  • Incident Management & Investigation : Lead investigations into workplace accidents or near-misses. Ensure proper root cause analysis, documentation, and implementation of preventive measures.
  • Site Inspections & Audits : Conduct scheduled and surprise audits of showrooms, workshops, yards, and warehouses. Generate reports and follow up for the closure of non-compliance points.
  • Emergency Preparedness : Establish and regularly review emergency response plans (fire, chemical, medical, etc.). Ensure fire-fighting equipment, signage, and first-aid kits are functional and accessible.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification (mandatory).
  • 5–7 years of HSE experience, preferably in automotive, industrial, or retail operations.
  • Valid Oman / GCC Driving License.
  • Key Competencies :

  • Proven experience in HSE setup and implementation across multi-site operations.
  • Strong command of regulatory compliance and safety documentation.
  • Knowledge of emergency response systems and fire safety practices.
  • Hands-on experience with safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for reporting, documentation, and incident tracking.
