Job Description

Purpose of the Job : To develop, maintain and manage IT Program Management Office using established policies, processes, methodologies and tools in order to promote and embed best practices in portfolio, program and project management.

Education & Experience

  • Dynamic professional with 8+ years of proven experience in PMO, program, and project delivery.
  • Holds a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent (MBA preferred).
  • Strong track record managing large-scale IT projects and portfolios in corporate environments.
  • 5+ years’ expertise in IT disciplines : systems, business analysis, applications, and portfolio management.
  • Skilled in portfolio consultancy, planning, and organizational change management.
  • Proficient in total quality management and PMO governance.
  • Certified PMI Project Management Professional (PMP); PgMP advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the EP Oil & Gas sector.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills with strong delivery focus.

Program Management & Quality Assurance

  • Standardize IT portfolio, program, and project management frameworks, tools, and techniques (e.g., EVM).
  • Maintain and govern project methodologies, standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Oversee project governance, evaluations, resource balancing, business cases, and change control.
  • Build and sustain a knowledge repository capturing lessons learned and success stories.
  • Deliver structured training, coaching, and consultancy to strengthen project and change management capabilities.
  • Promote PM competency development through training and certifications (e.g., PMI).
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews, risk assessments, and project audits to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Track and report IT portfolio KPIs, benefits realization, and performance metrics.
  • Enhance IT visibility through communication, events, and publications.
  • HSE & Key Challenges

  • Ensure full compliance with PDO’s HSE Policy and CP122 standards.
  • Foster understanding of project, program, and portfolio distinctions.
  • Consolidate IM&T reporting across operations and support functions.
  • Align project evaluations with strategic goals and post-delivery benefits.
  • Drive adoption of modern portfolio and program management best practices.
