The project :
Mace has been appointed to develop into a private family residence of approximately total area of 10000sqm over multiple buildings in Oman.
You’ll be responsible for :
Lead client interactions and ensure accountability for cost management deliverables across multiple projects, maintaining alignment with agreed scopes and timelines.
Supervise and manage the performance of up to four quantity surveyors, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to Mace’s value-based approach.
Oversee the preparation of cost models, estimates, and bills of quantities using both traditional and digital tools, including CostX.
Conduct viability studies, cost planning, and value engineering throughout design stages to ensure cost control and alignment with project budgets.
Manage tender processes including documentation, analysis of returns, preparation of reports, and contract documentation.
Administer construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC), including issuing notices, certificates, and determinations to protect client and company interests.
Lead the assessment of contractor valuations, variations, and final accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and agreement.
Maintain project cost reports, change logs, and cashflow forecasts, while ensuring compliance with QA / QC standards and supporting contract interpretation and claims analysis.
You’ll need to have :
Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects / programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
Must have MRICS qualification.
Relevant experience quantity surveying and contract administration, MENA experience is essential.
Able to measure in accordance with the main rules of measurement applicable to the MENA region, including POMI, NRM etc.
Has a strong working knowledge of the FIDIC suite of construction contracts.
