General Description of the Position :

  • Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, developing efficient and reliable methodology and network for distribution and shipment of goods within the MEA region.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain network to meet the distribution needs of the organization. Reports to : Supply Chain Manager, Oman Direct report to him / her : 6 team members comprising of Officers, Assistants & Executives from Sales & Logistics responsibilities. Coordination With : Sales team members, Production, QC & Finance team members. Key Area of Responsibilities
  • Assist Sales Team in meeting customer expectation in a timely manner and with most optimal cost model.
  • Ensure Logistics cost control.
  • Develop reliable network of logistics service providers.
  • Regularly update on Market Intelligence on logistics cost development in the region.
  • Development of team.
  • Continuously evaluate and develop alternative logistics solutions. Basic requirements
  • University degree (Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution or related), Post Graduate in similar field will be preferred.
  • Min. 10 - 12 years in function of Supply Chain Management.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • In depth understanding of Shipping (especially container movement, Load & Discharge Port related issues, procedures, knowledge and experience will be preferred. Needed Knowledge :
  • Transport (Ship, Ground - Train or Road) means and regulations
  • Legislation, Knowledge of shipping terminology.
  • PC knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point)
