We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mixed-Signal ASIC Characterization Engineer to support the bench-level validation and characterization of custom silicon for our Lidar and Photonic Products. This role involves developing and executing engineering validation tests (EVT) and design verification tests (DVT), analyzing performance, and documenting behavior across PVT conditions for both digital and mixed-signal IP blocks.
Key Responsibilities
Perform bench-level silicon testing for engineering samples and production devices.
Develop and execute EVT and DVT test plans for validating performance and functionality.
Characterize digital and mixed-signal IP interfaces (e.g., ADCs, DACs, SERDES, oscillators).
Debug and resolve issues encountered during silicon evaluation.
Document and report test results, characterization summaries, and validation reports.
Contribute to the development of datasheets and internal application documentation.
Collaborate with design, verification, and test engineering teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and smooth handoff to production.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4+ years of experience in silicon characterization or bench validation of mixed-signal ASICs.
Proficiency with lab equipment : oscilloscopes, signal generators, power analyzers, and source meters.
Experience validating both analog / mixed-signal and digital interfaces.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).
Ability to develop clear test documentation and communicate results across engineering teams.
Experience contributing to datasheet generation is a plus.
