Assistant Manager - IT

The main responsibility of this position is to manage the infrastructure

Installing, maintaining & upgrading of servers, firewalls, Routers & Switches as required and approved.

Ensure daily backups, all system interfaces, Server hardware and logs.

Assist IT head in developing new projects.

Assist in developing and implementing policies & procedures for increasing IT services to higher level.

Mentor & monitor System Support Assistants to enable them to handle the day-to-day trouble shooting and support withinacceptable standards and time limit.

Assist in planning & maintain the DSR setup as approved without disturbing the existing network load.

Ensure proper update of patches and service packs as required and recommended by the vendors.

Knowledge of TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Active Directory, Routers, Firewalls etc.

Hands on experience on Linux / Windows / Office softwares & applications.

Operational experience with security issues & access control mechanisms

Knowledge of network monitoring & other network administrative tools

Ability to work independently and as a team with good problem solving skills

Ability to work under pressure & in diverse settings & culture.

High degree of commitment & diligence.

Readiness to travel and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Experience

5 10 Years of experience.

Qualification

Bachelors degree in computer science / Electronics or equivalent education and experience.

Networking certificate
