HSE Officer (Omani Nationals Only) – 10-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join a leading project in Oman on a 10-month contract . The role focuses on ensuring compliance with HSE policies and implementing best practices to achieve world-class safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and rules established by OETC, updating procedures, controls, and measures where necessary.
- Advise on all applicable HSE legislation and monitor compliance.
- Manage the performance of HSE activities in line with company objectives.
- Coordinate and perform internal audits (including inspections) as required across multiple locations.
- Support audit preparation and execution, validate reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in managing HSE training programmes within the organisation.
- Promote tools and methods for H&S training programmes .
- Implement strategies necessary to achieve results, demonstrating strategic thinking competence .
- Drive strong adherence from management and staff to HSE requirements, showing leadership competence .
- Use all available communication methods (traditional and digital) to foster adherence, reflecting communication competence .
- Collate monthly HSE statistics from all projects and monitor performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and develop health, safety, and environmental programmes to ensure a safe environment consistent with regulatory requirements and project needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.15+ years of relevant HSE experience .Certified in NEBOSH / IOSH / IIRSM .Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.Dynamic professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Contract Details
