Scope of Work

My scope of work includes but is not limited to the below :

  • Processes will be constantly assessed and reviewed to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
  • Focus and review regularly through my physical presence in all areas of my department, our rigorous adherence to LQA standards.
  • Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to provide the Six Senses exceptional standards of operation and service.
  • Responsible for an efficient operation of the Guest Experience department. In the event of guest complaints, I will effectively carry out service recovery or charge our hosts to do so to the satisfaction of guests.
  • Work in partnership with Reservations, Housekeeping and F&B to ensure guest’s needs are determined / met and oversee the overall smooth operation of guest arrivals and departures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property including type of rooms available as well as their location and layout, selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans, credit policy of the hotel and reservation coding.
  • Support the management of the guest history and profile system in conjunction with the Reservations Manager.
  • Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property.
  • Revise and control that my department’s budget is strictly adhered to and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability, while taking into consideration the preservation of required standards with every decision made.
  • Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by the General Manager with a two-way flow of pertinent information and communications.
  • Perform any additional duties given to me by the General Manager. Qualification : To execute the position of GEM Manager / Assistant Front Office Manager, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results.

I possess a minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management and more than five years’ experience in a similar hotel operational role.

Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have knowledge of hotel / resort and policies regarding reservations, discounts, and detailed procedures in handling local and overseas room bookings

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.

I possess exceptional interpersonal skills and thrive in a multi-cultural team.

I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
