Job Position : Manager - Application Systems Integration
Job Description :
Overall responsible for Application Integration including project management and technical analysis, managing & overseeing the middleware application configuration & administration, and liaison work with application management teams to ensure best practices and with the Bank’s information technology groups to ensure system availability.
Project work and analysis will include implementation of best practices across systems supporting proprietary and commercial middleware applications.
Responsibilities include :
- Design, develop, and maintain complex integration components and services based on standards and industry best practices using IBM Websphere Message Broker and EAI / middleware technology.
- Develop and suggest solutions and strategies for technical solutions based on the analysis of the organization’s business goals, objectives, needs, and existing application systems and infrastructure.
- Coordinate all required monitoring activities for the supported systems, including operation of utilities to support customer system and data implementations.
- Responsible for maintenance and emergency response outside of normal business hours as necessary to maintain general network health and / or upgrades.
- Maintain ownership of product support incidents and follow proper escalation processes to meet or exceed targets resolution timeframes.
- Collect and analyze system usage statistics and engage in capacity planning required to manage the supported systems to accommodate growth and to support ongoing engineering initiatives.
- Implement and manage security processes (both technical and procedural) to ensure uninterrupted operations and to comply with Bank and data privacy policies.
- Ensure proper work distribution is maintained within the team assigned.
- Implement internal procedures for the support team as per the Quality Management System, which should help in periodic evaluation of team performance.
- Build a strong sense of commitment among all team members.
- Ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are undertaken and resolve problems as soon as they arise.
- Contribute ideas to help the support team to become more effective and seek ideas from other team members.
- Coordinate with Project Manager(s) for Application systems integration for new projects.
- Plan different activities of the project using SDLC methodology to achieve well-documented and controlled development so that clarity and transparency are maintained.
- Maintain proper Project Management input & control for all development & implementation on time and within agreed quality parameters.
- Set milestones for the activities undertaken by the support team, set up strategic goals to improve overall performance, manage human and infrastructure resources, and coordinate between various groups within the Bank's IT department.
- Assist the support team in making proper decisions and using the right methodology during application development.
- Review the architecture, design, specifications, and technical documents related to any enhancement.
Qualification :
Bachelor / Master degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Science.Certification in IBM Websphere Message Broker and Websphere MQ.Relevant technology-related professional certifications desirable.Experience :
10+ years of experience managing large complex teams of distributed resources (direct and indirect reports).Advanced to expert knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, applications systems design, and integration.Strong experience and hands-on design / development and maintenance in IBM Message Broker v8.x and IBM Websphere MQ.Working knowledge of IBM WSRR, DataPower, and Tivoli / SmartCloud.Working knowledge in UNIX environments (preferably Linux), including shell scripting.Java, J2EE - good understanding.Extensive experience implementing complex Message Flows using ESQL & Java and Message sets using various enterprise integration patterns.Experience in designing and implementing SOA, and Web Sphere Services, both SOAP and RESTful integration solutions using Web Sphere Message Broker.Strong integration experience with various integration methods and technologies.Training :
Formal Training / Certification in IBM WSRR, DataPower, and Tivoli / SmartCloud desirable.Skills :
Proven effective leadership to drive and facilitate transformation in a large and complex organization.Ability to influence decision-making and facilitate teams with multiple stakeholders at all levels in the organization, as well as knowledge of change management discipline and best practices.Extensive experience operating in a complex information technology and management process environment.Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with Architecture areas, Application Development, Infrastructure, Business groups, and others.Ability to discuss information technology in business terms.Ability to manage multiple priorities and aggressive deliverables and take a leadership role in moving initiatives forward and removing obstacles.Excellent written and verbal communication as well as executive presentation skills.Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitative skills.Experience investigating, designing, and implementing creative solutions to customer needs using available applications.Strong knowledge of systems security practices.#J-18808-Ljbffr
