Wood is recruiting for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will supervise a team of pipeline engineers and designers to translate the limited information from the Concept Selection Report and / or Basis for Design into Basis for Design and / or Front End Design & project specifications as well as Detailed Design, and to generate the relevant Pipeline Engineering FEED deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements. Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.
The Senior Pipeline Engineer will be responsible :
- Prepare Pipeline Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) Catalogue for projects
- Supervise a team of Pipeline engineers and Designers assigned to a project area (supervised by Project Pipeline Lead)
- Contribute to Basis for Design, Basis of Design, and Project Specifications / Philosophies
- Develop Pig Trap Layout / Plot Plan based on PFS / UFS, Technical safety requirements
- Carry out Stress Analysis for pipelines
- Familiar with software viz. Google Earth, ARCGIS, GPS
- Identify / Finalize the pipeline route
- Develop / Approve specification for Pipeline materials and specialty items
- Follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with ISO and API Q2 2nd edition
- Initiate, check, and / or approve Pipeline Engineering Deliverables
- Provide input / Review other discipline deliverables as appropriate
- Support procurement and construction activities
- Participate in HAZID, Design Review, HAZOP, IPF, 3D Model Reviews and various HSE related workshops

Experience :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 6 years in FEED and DD / ENGINEERING and Minimum 10 years in oil & gas Experience.Good communicator and good inter‑personal / leadership skills.Experience in managing small teams and third‑party contractor / licensor.Fluent in English; written and spoken.Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
