Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in 132KV / 33KV substation projects within the Oil & Gas sector in Oman. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing full project execution, including estimation, tendering, commercial operations, and on-site project management. Experience in Oman is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Project Planning & Execution :

Lead the end-to-end execution of 132KV / 33KV substation projects in Oman.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure compliance with PDO, Omani regulations, and international safety standards.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to optimize execution strategies.

2. Estimation, Tendering & Commercial Management :

Oversee the bidding, estimation, and tendering process for substation projects.

Analyze project costs, prepare BOQs, technical proposals, and pricing strategies.

Manage vendor negotiations, contracts, and procurement for materials and equipment.

Ensure alignment with Oman's Oil & Gas regulatory standards and contract requirements.

3. Stakeholder & Client Management :

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies in Oman.

Maintain strong relationships with PDO, utility companies, EPC contractors, and government authorities.

Conduct project review meetings, status reports, and risk assessments for key stakeholders.

4. Safety & Compliance Management :

Implement HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards to ensure zero incidents.

Ensure all electrical substation works adhere to Oman's Oil & Gas sector regulations.

Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.

5. Team Leadership & Resource Management :

Lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.

Oversee workforce planning, site mobilization, and performance monitoring.

Mentor and develop staff, ensuring skill enhancement and project efficiency.

Key Requirements :

Education : BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering

Experience : 15+ years in substation projects (Minimum 10 years in Oman's Oil & Gas sector)

Project Experience : Successfully executed at least one full 132KV / 33KV substation project

Technical Expertise : Proficiency in estimation, tendering, project execution, and commercial management

Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with Oman's Oil & Gas regulations, PDO standards, and local authority approvals

Stakeholder Management : Strong network within Oman's Oil & Gas and utility sectors

HSE & Compliance : Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental standards in substation projects
