Assistant Cook (Company Staff)

A reputed company in Oman is hiring an experienced Company Staff Cook to prepare high-quality Indian and Kerala-style meals for company staff. The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in preparing Biriyani, Kerala meals, curries, Porotta, Chapati, Idli, Sambar and other Indian dishes. Candidates with good knowledge of Indian cuisine and previous experience as a staff or company cook will be preferred.

• Prepare daily meals for company staff according to the required menu and schedule.
  
• Prepare Biriyani, Kerala meals, curries, Porotta, Chapati, Idli and Sambar.
  
• Prepare a variety of other Indian dishes as required.
  
• Maintain consistent taste, quality and hygiene standards.
  
• Plan and prepare meals according to the number of staff.
  
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
  
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, cooking equipment and work area.
  
• Monitor food supplies and inform the concerned person when ingredients need replenishment.
  
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
  
• Minimise food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cook, Staff Cook or Company Cook is required.
  

• Strong practical experience in Indian and Kerala cuisine.
  

• Must be experienced in preparing:
  

• Biriyani
  

• Kerala Meals
  

• Curries
  

• Porotta
  

• Chapati
  

• Idli
  

• Sambar
  

• Other Indian dishes
  

• Good knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene and safe food handling.
  

• Ability to prepare meals for a group of company staff.
  

• Candidates with relevant GCC/Oman experience will be preferred.
