Overview :
A leading multinational energy organisation is looking for a Technical Assistant (DCC / CMIMS) to support a large LNG bunkering development project based in Oman. The role supports both project and operational phases, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of technical documentation and maintenance data within the Computerised Maintenance and Inspection Management System (CMIMS) and Document Control Centre (DCC) .

Key Responsibilities :
Project Phase :
- Support CMIMS data loading for equipment hierarchy, maintenance plans, and spare parts
- Coordinate with engineering, EPC, procurement, and vendors for documentation and data collection
- Assist with cataloguing spare parts and building Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Apply company standards and naming conventions for technical data and documents
- Assist in the setup of DCC and CMIMS platforms (SAP and Quantum)
- Participate in system testing, configuration, and data migration
- Provide training to staff on CMIMS use and spare part procedures
- Ensure data quality and template accuracy before CMIMS implementation
- Act as deputy and focal point for CMIMS-related matters
Operational Phase :
Maintain up-to-date CMIMS records and track engineering changesManage document version control and archiving in DCCGenerate CMIMS reports and KPIs to support performance trackingAssist with spare parts inventory, reordering, and warehouse coordinationProvide CMIMS and DCC system support and user trainingContribute to audits, compliance checks, and ongoing system improvementsHSE & Compliance :
Promote HSEQ principles and ensure compliance with internal standards and Omani lawSupport the development of performance standards and assurance measuresBe part of the emergency response structure where requiredOther Duties :
Assist in maintenance budgeting and cost tracking using CMIMSCollaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, training) and external partnersPrepare regular reports, including weekly, monthly, and KPI reportsParticipate in internal audits and performance reviewsCandidate Requirements :
Education & Qualifications :
Diploma or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalentAdditional certifications in CMIMS, Document Control, or Asset Management are a plusProfessional Experience :
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance support roles within Oil & Gas or LNG operationsHands-on experience with CMIMS platforms (SAP preferred) and DCC systemsKnowledge of spare parts cataloguing and inventory control processesBackground in technical documentation handling (manuals, drawings, vendor data)Languages :
Fluent in English (spoken and written) - Arabic is an advantageTechnical & Soft Skills :
Strong proficiency in CMIMS (SAP), document control, and office software (Excel, Power BI)High attention to detail and data qualityGood time management and organisational skillsAnalytical mindset with a willingness to learn and adaptAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
