Project Overview :
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.
Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.
To support ongoing and future project delivery, Bechtel is currently seeking a Field Purchasing / Materials Management Professional to join the team at our sites in GCC countries (Arab states : Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).
Job Summary :
In this role, you will interface with supply chain, construction and contractor personnel in all materials fulfillment and operations. You will participate with the project management team in defining and developing the scope of work, and in preparing and coordinating materials management plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, and forecasts. You will ensure materials management operations comply with corporate, business unit and project requirements.
Maintains direct working relationships with Project Management, Project and Field Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Project and Field Procurement personnel, Contractor and the Customer to ensure mutual understanding, development, and attainment of objectives, plans, and requirements for materials management of the project.
The Materials Professional / Field Purchasing Professional will manage the general services contractor who will administer and allocate space for laydown yards, warehouse, receiving areas, staging areas, equipment storage and contractor yards. The general services contractor will be responsible for receiving and issuing the materials at jobsite.
This role will manage EPCM-issued and contractor-issued materials flow from the warehouse(s) to construction. #LI-AR2
