Job descriptionBachelor's degree in medicine Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. 3 to 7 years of internship and clinical residency training, specializing in Pediatrics. A medical degree in neonatology and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship. Fellowship in Neonatology or its equivalent such as Arab Board / Indian Board to practice as a Pediatric Neonatologist. 5 to 10 years Valid MoH License as a Consultant or Specialist Pediatric Neonatologist (for Candidates within Oman) For candidates applying outside of Oman should be eligible to have a medical license as per the Oman MoH category. Hold a valid medical license from your home country Providing prenatal care for high-risk infants. Assisting in premature or problematic deliveries, and helping if complications arise or if medical attention is necessary immediately after birth. Caring for infants' nutrition to ensure optimal growth and development Assisting with medications and treating infants born with infections or who contract infections after birth. Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients' information and histories. Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care. Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members. Monitoring patients' conditions and progress. Directing, coordinating, consulting with, and referring patients to nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff. Advising patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention.
