Mandarin Oriental Muscat is looking for a Sales Manager - Groups & Events to join our Sales and Marketing team.

Mandarin Oriental is an award-winning owner and operator of luxurious hotels, resorts and residences located in prime destinations worldwide, with a strong development pipeline. Mandarin Oriental Muscat is situated in a prime beachfront location and features 150 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a spa, and multiple event spaces for social and business events.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group & Events Sales Manager to lead proactive sales efforts across Oman and UAE. The ideal candidate will develop and manage key Local Corporate and International Accounts, handle Group and Event Sales, and manage opportunities through platforms such as CVENT, Lanyon, and RFP management.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive sales for group bookings and events
• Develop and manage a portfolio of local and regional corporate accounts
• Generate new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships through regular sales calls, meetings, and presentations
• Manage group inquiries from quotation to contract execution, ensuring smooth transition to the operations team
• Coordinate MICE business using tools such as CVENT, Lanyon, and RFP platforms
• Establish strong relationships with international embassies, consulates, and government institutions for group and event opportunities
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure client satisfaction and successful event execution
• Track and report on sales performance metrics and forecasts
