Job Summary
As the Wireless Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, operation and optimisation of enterprise wireless networks primarily using Cisco Meraki and HPE Aruba technologies. You will ensure robust, secure and high-availability wireless connectivity that meets business and customer needs. You will also work closely with our networking team, clients and vendors to deliver best-in-class wireless solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design wireless architectures (indoor / outdoor) using Cisco Meraki & HPE Aruba platforms to meet business requirements.
- Perform wireless site surveys, RF planning and spectrum analysis; determine access-point placement, channel allocation and roaming optimisation.
- Deploy, configure, monitor and maintain wireless access points, controllers (or cloud controllers for Meraki), switches, and related wireless infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot wireless connectivity and performance issues : interference, signal-strength, capacity, roaming, security.
- Work with security & network teams to enforce wireless security policies (authentication, encryption, rogue AP detection, NAC integration).
- Maintain documentation of wireless network designs, configurations, diagrams, inventory and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (LAN / WAN, security, IT services, operations) and third-party vendors / contractors.
- Stay current with wireless standards ax / ay, WiFi6 / 6E / 7), vendor firmware updates, best practices and emerging technologies.
- Provide mentoring / training to junior engineers or support teams as required.
- Participate in after-hours or on-call escalation support when required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or equivalent.Proven experience (e.g., 3–5 years or more depending on level) in wireless network engineering in enterprise environments.Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki wireless solutions and HPE Aruba wireless solutions.Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals : wireless site survey, spectrum analysis, access-point placement, roaming, interference.Solid networking fundamentals : TCP / IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing / switching, network security.Experience with wireless security methods : WPA2 / WPA3, RADIUS, 802.1X, NAC.Ability to interpret wireless survey and monitoring data, troubleshoot complex wireless issues.Excellent documentation, communication (written & verbal) and teamwork skills.Preferred Qualifications
Vendor certifications such as CWNA, Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA), Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Cisco Meraki Specialist, CCNA / CCNP (Wireless or general).Experience using wireless survey and analysis tools (e.g., Ekahau Pro, AirMagnet, etc.).Experience in high-density wireless deployments, mesh networks, and outdoor wireless scenarios.Familiarity with integrating wireless solutions into cloud-managed frameworks (Meraki Dashboard, Aruba Central).Experience in vendor / stakeholder management and project delivery.Job Type : Full-time
